Bachelor of Commerce at the UBC Sauder School of Business, specializing in Marketing, now in the fourth year of a five-year degree. Last winter, I was at PepsiCo on the Intense Heat & Flavour portfolio, and over the summer I joined the UBC Sauder Business Career Centre as a Project Coordinator.
Ask about any of them in an interview and you'll get the whole story, not just the statistic.
Get curious, then go find out.
Most of the time the answer already exists and nobody has had time to go looking for it. So I go looking. Ten conversations with students about why they skipped an event. NielsenIQ read across SKUs, channels and time periods until a key insight falls out of it.
Curiosity runs on a deadline, though. A case competition could give you three hours, max. I'm learning to judge when to stop looking and move forward with what I have. I would rather make a timely call on 80% of the picture than a late call on 100%, then stay close enough to the results to correct course.
No website builder and no template. This is hand-written HTML, built in a session with Claude, Anthropic's AI.
Claude wrote the code. I set the brief, made the calls on structure, tone and design, corrected what it got wrong, and sent the writing back until it sounded like me instead of like AI. Directing it well turned out to be most of the job.
I built it because AI is rapidly becoming a standard tool for business professionals, and I would rather ride the wave of change than get dragged through it. This site is me investing in that.
I'm looking for roles across marketing, brand, business strategy, go-to-market and sales, in any industry. Coffee chats are highly appreciated, and so is anyone who wants to debate current advertising slays or flops.
I also meet regularly with junior Sauder students, the way senior students did for me when I was starting out. If that's you, I encourage you to reach out as well.
